Технология DTF-печати заключается в нанесении изображений на съемную ПЭТ-пленку с использованием CMYK-красок и белой краски (белая краска обязательна для темных тканей). В процессе печати наносится термоплавкий клеевой порошок, который подвергается термической обработке для создания готовой трансферной пленки. Затем с помощью термопресса (температура 120–160 °C) изображение переносится на текстиль. После охлаждения и снятия ПЭТ-пленки рисунок прочно фиксируется на изделии.
